Year End Special

To Another Year

Time swiftly passed by this year. It’s a great feeling, when I’m able to look back at all the blessings bestowed upon the ITO KISH doorsteps.

In March of 2016, the Binhi made it as one of the top 13 entries in the Furniture Design Awards (FDA) that took place in Singapore. It was hailed as one of the most eye-catching pieces in the show. We also took home two awards this April Manila FAME, Katha Awards for Best Booth Display and Best Eco Product Design for Binhi. These incredible success stories were followed by the reopening of our newly renovated showroom. By revamping the showroom and rebranding, we gave a new look to ITO KISH HOME, KISH STORIES and KISH INTERIORS. June of the same year, we joined the “Exclusively By Hand” exhibition at the Good Design Marunouchi in Tokyo, Japan.

For July, I made an appearance on the cover of Southern Living, showcasing my journey as the company’s chief storyteller. By the month of August, KISH LIVE was launched as a new division under the ITO KISH brand, that provides baseline corporate design and communication services to our enthusiastic clients open for collaboration. This was all topped off with KISH INTERIORS’ much anticipated New York penthouse project.

One of the biggest highlights of 2016 was the launch of our new event, Stories Under the Tree, and some design talks where I hold educational and inspiring conversations with design enthusiasts. To cap everything off, we held the release of KISH STORIES’ Christmas 2016 collection as a wonderful way to end the year.

We’re blessed to have shared this part of our story with you, patrons, readers, followers, and fans, and I look forward to what other stories await us in 2017.

Sleek and Rustic

A newly arrived set of furniture from Organic Modernism just arrived at KISH STORIES. Taking inspiration from the word ‘organic’ itself, the new pieces are mostly made of American walnut with a sleek design, combining fine taste and perfect functionality in your home.

(Gigi side table, Gigi coffee table, Deco cabinet)

Made primarily of rustic materials, Organic Modernism furniture blends the clean, linear appearance of modern design with the natural form of organic materials. Most of the fabrics and shapes used in the types of designs date back to the 1940s and early 1950s, giving the furniture a very distinct feel and appearance.

 (Lounge, Kurf A)

Here are some of the newly arrived pieces that I personally recommend for sprucing up your flat: play up your marble or glossy counter with a Kurf A counter stool; give your living room a stylish look with the elegant Larson wooden bench, crafted with an American walnut frame and upholstered leather seat; be inventive – yet clean and minimalist – with the Gigi coffee and side table, made of walnut base and tempered glass; lastly, an off-white Lounge cabinet with a lacquered frame and walnut door is the ideal piece for pulling off a rustic yet classy look.

Pay a visit to the ITO KISH showroom and check out our newest Organic Modernism furniture!
